The 7-Step System of Creating Killer Online Products and Services

You know that going online is the way to go, but you have no clue: a. what product of course to develop, b what technology to use (man you are scared of the word technology) c. how to maintain personal connection with people (you thrive on it and online environment seems so cold and impersonal) d. how to market it (you are just not a sales person!). If you answered yes to at least one of these options, then you must learn about the 7 step system I developed for creating killer online products and programs. Watch this 8 minute video.

Here is a Summary of the Main Points  For Your Convenience:

Step #1: WHY? Choose your purpose & set intention:

Start with the cause and add your product not vice versa. According to Simon Sinek (the author of Start with Why), why makes your company feel right to the buyer. We get good and bad feelings about a company as we have good and bad feeling about people. So identify- why your company exists? The same goes for your online product- wrap it in the why first and you will see how much more attractive it becomes. For example, in my Teach & Prosper Bootcamp I do not just teach people how to develop online products,  I help them create connection, freedom and wealth.

 Step # 2: WHO? Know thou customer…

Very often when people start a business, they feel that the more customers that they can attract to their business the better it is! This is called operating from the scarcity mentality. You need to know exactly who your customer is (and I am not talking pure demographics, but “psychodemographics”- their beliefs, habits, philosophies, personalities, behavior and attitudes).

Step # 3:  Name & position Your Product.

Once you identify your customer you need to think of the types of products and the price range you want to shoot for.  You also need to choose the name that attracts THAT type of customer within THAT price range.

Naming your product is very important! It is one of the most difficult yet most important steps in the process. A quick trick on naming your product is:

1. Simple

2.  Easy to remember

3. Have the keywords that people are looking for.

Step # 4: Design It!

So what type of product will it be? A set of downloadable PDFs? A video? A webinar series? A Book? A course? Lots of courses are built around giving tons of information yet they don’t provide practical skills that solve customers’ needs. No matter what type of product you develop it should utilize a backward design to create the content. You start with the outcomes – what will your customers be able to do after the course, then develop assessments – how will you and your customer know that they achieved them? Only then you choose appropriate materials.

Step #5: Connect and Engage your Customer.

No matter what your product is, connection and customization are very important. Think- how would you build connection with your customer in a webinar? in a PDF series? In an online classroom?

Step #6: Choose the platform for your product

Each product requires different technology to support it. You should weigh various technological options against each other and create a list of step-by-step processes of what happens from the point that your customers first get in touch with your product, to the exiting stage.

Step #7: Market your product.

Selling is like dating. You don’t start a date with how good you are, and how much you have. You need to build the foundation, the relationships with your customers based on your values & beliefs. So how can you build relationships with your customer? Which social media to utilize and how? How do you attract new customers while still keep your existing customers interested?

In my Teach and Prosper Bootcamp we go through all these points and much more! The course starts on February 4 and last for 7 weeks. In this course I will help you design and develop online info products and courses that answer your audience’s needs, and create attractive offers to your clients. You will get a personal guidance from me as well as from the community of the like-minded individuals.
